K'gari (Fraser Island)

The largest sand island on earth, driven not paved, with rainforest somehow growing straight out of the dunes, freshwater lakes so pure the sand filters them clean, and dingoes that are the purest genetic strain left in the country.
The best time to visit K'gari (Fraser Island) is Apr–Oct, when typical daytime highs reach about 26°C (78°F).
